Rack & Pinion specializes in Custom Racks, Pinions and Gears for Industrial Applications.  We can manufacture that special gear or rack, exactly to your specifications. This eliminates compromising your design to accommodate standard "off-the-shelf" products. You will find that our standard 4140 alloy steel gears and racks are very cost effective, especially where long life and higher strength is required.  

We can also manufacture gears and racks out of many other materials including plastics, aluminum, mild steel, tool steel, brass, bronze, and stainless steel. Depending upon your application, several material finishing processes are available including special heat treating (including ion nitride), electroplating, passivating, and anodizing. Pinions are available in lengths up to 10'.  Racks can be machined in any available bar stock length, and can be manufactured so that many bars can be used together end-to-end.
